This event began as a modest notion with limited goals, but there was always a great potential. In this world of rapidly changing political and economic happenings, in 1999 this competition also made changes. The Folklorama International Soccer Tournament grew and evolved into what we have today...The Golden Boy International Soccer Tournament, one of the most prestigious youth soccer tournaments in this country. In its rich history, the GBIST has hosted a great number of teams from across Canada, all parts of the United States, Mexico, Taiwan, Republic of China, as well as Hungary. This event has always been known to have an international flavor, and of course, a high caliber of soccer competition.
