Additional Details: The Blackpool Cup has been a top event in England ever since 1994. Every year about 120 teams gather on the sport parks of Blackpool Mechanics FC.

Facilities
The Blackpool Cup takes place in the southern part of the town on well used council pitches and the sports park of Blackpool Mechanics FC. The matches will be played on 14 grass pitches. Furthermore there is a tournament centre with a marquee, a clubhouse with a canteen, various buffet stands for snacks and beverages and a limited number of dressing rooms. There is also a restaurant very close to the tournament complex.
The pitches are council pitches and they receive considerable wear and tear throughout the season. Teams should be aware that in places these pitches may be in less than perfect condition.

The competition starts on Saturday morning and Sunday when not playing football, participants have plenty of time to discover the many attractions Blackpool has to offer, especially for youngsters. A visit to the Pleasure Beach is then a must. The very youngest will receive their medals during their own presentation on Sunday afternoon. The Challenge Cup will be finalized on Sunday afternoon after which the category winners will receive their trophy. The Blackpool Cup tournament concludes on Monday with the finals being played one after the other on the enclosed pitch of Blackpool Mechanics. The prizes will be presented after each final.

The organisation ensures an excellent programme, but soccer is certainly not the only good reason for visiting Blackpool.
Blackpool, situated in north west England, is one of the most popular seaside holiday town in Great Britain, offering numerous attractions for children of all ages. These attractions vary from bumper cars and games machines to one of the highest and fastest roller coasters in the world!
